ESK Scoop: Coccidia
On February 24, 2016, one dog belonging to a valued customer here at ESK had contracted Coccidia, intestinal parasites that get passed through a dog's stool and can cause watery, sometimes bloody diarrhea. Understandably, this has caused concern amongst our other valued customers, and so we're here to shed some light on the situation.

The Temperament Test
Entering a new environment can be taxing on any dog. At Emerald Street Kennels, we believe the best way to introduce a dog to his new play group is nice and slow. Thus, we give every dog who comes in for their first day our temperament test.

Bye-Bye Cooper!
Today we said farewell to our big friend Cooper, as he and his family continue their lives in Georgia.
Cooper is a kind-hearted English mastiff who's been coming to ESK with his brother Castro, the German shepherd, since March of 2014. Though Castro passed away mid-2015, Cooper would continue to come and play with us just about every month for a week or so at a time. Just a month shy of his 2 year anniversary, Cooper and his mom and dad are on their way to Georgia, leaving us to say our bittersweet farewells in Idaho! It's sad to see a friend move away, but it warms our hearts to know that we got the chance to meet these 2 special boys. Til we meet again!

Spring is in the Air!
Mr. Sun is shining, our flora friends are waking up, and you have a sudden urge to do some cleaning; spring is just around the corner! Spring also means spring break! We're accepting reservations over spring break now, and as we always say, "the sooner, the better"! Before you pack your sun screen, make sure your dog is all ready for their stay at Emerald Street Kennels. Review our vaccine requirements, and talk with your vet to set up any last minute appointments. See you real soon!
